Monday, Oh we meet again...

Since moving to Bar Harbor Maine in July, I have become a stay at home mom.  Something that I dreamed about ever since the twins were born.  It's a hard job, but rewarding too.  Since the twins started K, I have been more stressed then ever.  Makes me wonder if I should have just stayed working!  The princesses seems to adjusted to school and tells me everything she does in school minute by minute.  The prince, well loves school but the adjustment is a hard one.  He is very hyper, active and has issues with listening hence the reason for me to be stressed.  We have meltdowns, he and I both.. lol  BUT all in all he loves school, loves his teacher but just can't understand that he needs to sit.  I just keep reminding both of the kids, to be good, nice and listen.  I hope it works, cause I want a less stressed week..

No weighing in this week for me.  I was rushed this morning with the kids and the next thing I know I'm drinking and eating.  To late for the scale.  I hope to see results, but I'm thinking that blue berry ice cream I bought on Friday is going to be evil for me.. Yes I bought it and now I'm suffering..  My non-scale goal this week is NO ICE CREAM!

Only one more day of Grunt Style 2 week challenge.. I'm happy that I was able to do this but I'm looking forward to it being done!  Still doing badminton Monday and Friday's at the Y.  It's a great way to burn calories.   Going to still do the weights every other day at the Y and still doing the EA sports.  I have to say I like working out..

How are you planning to change up your workout as summer ends?
Going to do more of the EA sports at home and other Wii fit stuff.  I'm really enjoying the badminton at the Y so that hopefully will continue.

Monday

This past week has been stressful for me.  The kids started Kindergarten, which is great but my son had a hard time adjusting to school.  I hope that this week is better, because I fear the phone ringing.. With this added stress, I was worried that it would effect my workout or eating.  BUT I decided to not let it.  And I had a great victory!  My weight is down 3.3 lbs from the 9/4.  Yahoo!

I'm on Day 7 of the grunt style 2 week challenge.  Actually loving this feeling, is that weird?  I never thought I would say that! Hoping to get to running this week also.  And continue eating healthy and tracking my food!

When was the last time you got new workout shoes? What do you use them for?

I purchased a new pair of running shoes in July and I use them at the gym as their policy is to not wear street shows on the treadmills.  But when I'm home, I'm usually wearing my other running shoes for quick workouts around the house.  These ones I bought right before the Las Vegas 1/2 marathon that I did last December.

What is that....?

Oh those are leg muscles and they HURT!  But I like it?  lol :) Day #3 of the challenge and I feel good despite a little sore.. I can't believe that many squats make your muscles work.. Muscles I thought I used daily walking.. Tomorrow is a rest day and I will do that.. :)

Grunt Style challenge

I just finished day 1 on the challenge and I'm sweating but feel good. Wonder how I will feel tomorrow morning?  Day 2 looks like a ton of push ups.  This may take me a while, but I will do my hardest! Drinking a bottle of water now and then it will be lunch time.. Turkey on pita bread..

Kids are at their first day.  I'm nervous, hoping they have a great day.  They have done the daycare and preschool before so I'm not sure why I'm so worried.. Making them cookies tonight and may go out to dinner if the weather clears up on the island..

Day 1 done, go me.. :)

Mamavation Monday

Wanted to say that it's been nice having a group of people who know all to well what I'm going through. It's a great support system that I think is going to help me.. I have to keep reminding myself it's going to be baby steps but it's at least something.

Question: How is your routine changing now that summer is winding down? Any go-to tips to stay organized?
 
Everything is changing starting on Tuesday.  The twins will be in K all day which means there will be lots of time for "me".  I'm going to do my daily house stuff, but in that time I will have a workout plan at least 3 times a week at home or at the gym.  And mix in a little jogging outside.  
Staying organized is key for my success.  I use calendars on my phone and ipod to make sure that I have my week planned out.  I'm going to do the same for my work out plans.

New month, new hopes and Happy Anniversary...

Today I celebrate my 10th wedding anniversary.  Looking back that many years ago, things were so different.. However back then I was still upset over my weight.. I don't remember my weight that day but I'm sure it was less then I weigh now.. Well again today is a new month and my goal is 8 lbs to lose.. Starting weight @ 165.5.. I can do it.. I have done it before I just need to get the motivation from social media.. lol :)  My husband has always been the cheerleader for me and then there is my Andrea who has been right beside me through it all. (love you girl)  Kids start school on Tuesday which means a lot more free time for mommy to jog and workout at the gym.  It's super close to the school so that's even a plus!  I'm looking at the website now to sign up for a class.  I'm thinking of taking yoga.  I hear it's great, the class is free for members so why not try it out...
